CHEFCHAOUEN

Chefchaouen is one of the most iconic, spiritual, and photogenic towns in Morocco.

Established in 1472 as a military fort, Chefchaouen was strategically built between two mountain peaks for unhindered vision and an obvious military advantage.

Having served as a refuge for Andalusian Muslim and Jewish refugees during the Spanish Inquisition, Chefchaouen became a spiritual settlement and a haven.

A haven drenched in a beautiful shade of indigo infused gypsum paint, Chefchaouen’s most distinctive feature, its blue color.
